End of the road to a memorable journey.
My tryst with CAT ends today... It was not a happy ending. Things somehow did not work for me today. I am still to analyze what went wrong.
The paper should have been a cake walk, but it ended up walking all over me. To give you an idea of the easiness level of this paper, PagalGuy thinks that there will be persons scoring 100 percentage instead of 100 percentile.
I don't know what came over me. Things started on a good note but I kinda slowed down in the middle of the paper and seemed to drag about through the rest of the paper.
It is ironic that I performed much, much better in last year's CAT which was a much tougher one by any standards. I guess life is only funny if you are a philosopher.

bad luck mate...
i agree with ur "easier than last year" thing, but i hear from IMS and TIME (source rediff) that 110 would get u atleast one call!!! That i dont think is a paper easier than last year :)
did u verify with answer keys???
what's ur expected score? do u clear the cutoffs specified by these folks???
According to career launcher... it is 105 but I ain't keepin'my fingers crossed.
That's about the same number IMS and TIME are quoting too. Doing a raw math, it comes to less than 30 (considering each question is valued at 4 marks) and this is much less than the cutoff for last year. But these guys agree that the paper was easier than last year. Contradicting facts :)
Oh, CAT and the pain of it all...
BTW, check out http://www.rediff.com/getahead/2006/nov/19cat.htm for the sectional cutoffs as predicted by IMS, TIME and CL. TIME's cutoff is low, but the last two years - their predictions turned out to be pretty close to the actual thing.
You never know da. Given that the paper is very easy, IIMs may look at your experience, marks and other parameters in calling candidates for the interview. So, wait and watch. All the best.
But, this is the paper where one could score easily with little preparation.
I think you are aware that IIM-A's cutoff is 33% in each section (as published in newspaper 2 weeks before). But, I think majority would corss the cutoff hands down. So, it's tough for them to keep their promise.
I cant find guts enuf to check my scores even !! Hope is the only thing we can do mate !!
Wait for the result, it is too early to guesstimate from the prophecies of the coaching institutes.
@All - Thanks for your commiserations.
@I - I am sure that the cutoff will be at least 120 da...
@Kart - Dude, thanks for trying to cheer me up :)
@Vinod - Welcome to the hoping club, my friend :D
@GS - Yes, you are right, we have to wait for the results... but I am having both my feet on the ground.
